Color: Takins have a gradient coloration, ranging from light reddish to fawn. The sides near the hindquarters may be slightly lighter or darker. There are also dark patches on the face, legs, and belly.

Lifespan: about 15 years

Habitat: Northeastern India, Nepal, Tibet, China

Diet: grass, branches, leaves
