On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the Zoo Express tourist train runs from Sortavala to the Black Stones station.

The train route allows you to spend the day with the most complete impressions: 

Sortavala station (departure 9:05) – Moroznaya (visit to Mount Paaso and the exhibition of Santa Claus’s Train) – Black Stones (transfer by bus to the zoo, visit to the zoo) – Yanisjärvi. Return route Black Stones (departure 15:51) – Sortavala 

The train makes long stops:

• approx. 2.5 hours at Moroznaya station so you can walk along the eco-trail to Mount Paaso

• 3 hours for a comfortable visit to the zoo and Lake Janisjärvi

To purchase a ticket, enter the point of departure: Sortavala (station) or Sortavala-Center, at the point of arrival: Black Stones, in the opposite direction in the reverse order.

The cost of travel by train is 499 rubles each way. The cost of the bus is 150 rubles each way.
