Habitat: The range is in the Northern Hemisphere, covering Eurasia and North Africa from Morocco to Tunisia, and in North America from Alaska and Canada to northern Mexico. In the east, the range extends to the northern provinces of China, Mongolia, and Japan. In Central Europe, Golden Eagles inhabit the Alps and the Carpathians.

Diet: The diet mainly consists of small mammals, predominantly rabbits, hares, ground squirrels, prairie dogs, and marmots.
